PERJURY RAPS VS BANGAYAN: Senate legal counsel Tina Cruz and Senate Agriculture and Food committee secretary Horace Cruda show a copy of the complaint for perjury they filed with the Department of Justice against businessman Davidson Bangayan for lying in the committee hearing on rice smuggling. The complaint was signed by eleven senators led by Committee chairperson Senator Cynthia Villar who also cited Bangayan in contempt. Bangayan has maintained he is not the same David Tan, tagged in rice smuggling amid positive identification by witnesses as mentioned by Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.
