UNITED NATIONS OFFICE FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION (UNISDR): Senator Loren Legarda with Ms. Margareta Wahlström, chief of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), and Mr. Hans Sy, President of SM Prime Holdings, at the welcome reception for Wahlström. The UNISDR Chief cited Legarda as a “super champ” who has always taken the lead in inspiring and motivating key stakeholders to ensure that disaster resilience will be everybody’s business. Legarda, for her part, stressed on her continuing commitment to her mission as UN Champion for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation for Asia-Pacific.
