ASSISTANCE TO INJURED OFW: Merlyn Pengson cries as Senator Cynthia A. Villar hands to her injured daughter Janice Pengson P10,000 medical assistance at the Philippine General Hospital, P5,000 grocery certificate and P5,000 cash to jumpstart a sari-sari store in her hometown in Isabela. Villar also provides a wheelchair to Pengson, who fell down from the second floor of her employer’s house in Beirut, Lebanon. To address all the concerns of our OFWs, Villar cites the need to institutionalize a system that will extend help to distressed OFW, whether documented or undocumented. The mother and daughter were thankful to the senator for all the help given to them.
