EXHIBIT ON LAS PIÑAS-PARAÑAQUE CRITICAL HABITAT AND ECOTOURISM AREA: Senate President Franklin Drilon discusses together with Senators Cynthia Villar and Nancy Binay the photographs displayed at the exhibit entitled "Las Piñas-Parañaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area (LPPCHEA), Last Coastal Frontier of Metro Manila" during its opening ceremony at the Senate, Monday afternoon. The LPPCHEA is a crucial urban bird sanctuary for more than 80 wild bird species, 41 of which are migratory. Despite the constant threat of pollution and other urban hazards, several endangered species such as the Chinese Egret are seen in the area, making it an attraction to scientific researchers.
