HEARING ON THE PROPOSED PNR CHARTER EXTENSION: Senator Cynthia Villar, chair of the Committee on Governance Corporations and Public Enterprise, presides over a public hearing on the proposed extension of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) charter, Tuesday afternoon. Villar said railways were superior to other modes of mass transportation due to its minimal impact on the environment, efficiency on land use and high passenger capacity.
