JAPAN'S LATEST DONATIONS: Senate President Franklin Drilon displays with Hon. Kenji Kosaka, President of the Japan-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship League (JPPFL) and Secretary-General of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party at the Japanese House of Councillors, the additional 20 emergency vehicles to be donated by Japan to the Philippines during the joint press briefing by JPPFL and the Philippine-Japan Parliamentarians Association (PJPA) at Diamond Hotel, Manila on Monday, May 5. The vehicles are the latest donations of the Japanese government to localities affected by typhoon Yolanda. At the meeting, Kosaka relayed Japan's commitment to development assistance in the Philippines, and its continued support for parts of the country still reeling from the effects of previous disasters.
