ROADSIDE TREE PLANTING: Senate President Franklin M. Drilon leads the planting of golden shower and fire trees along two new major highways in Iloilo City, under an urban greening program of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) launched last July 31, 2014 in Iloilo City. Aside from the road at Centro Verde in Mandurriao district and the Iloilo Circumferential Road, Drilon said the DENR will also plant fire trees along the Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue, the 14-kilometer diversion road up to the Iloilo Airport entrance in Cabatuan, Iloilo.
