COCO FARMERS CONFAB: Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chairperson of the Senate Agriculture and Food Committee, says she is confident the ‘Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Act of 2015’ will carry out its goal of helping coconut farmers and developing the coconut industry. She also assures to push for the passage of the five priority agriculture-related bills in the second Regular Session of the 16th Congress. She is also studying a legislative measure that will prevent a recurrence of the widespread damage caused by ‘cocolisap’ infestation.
