DRILON WELCOMES AÑO: Senate President Franklin M. Drilon shares a light conversation with Lieutenant General Eduardo Año (left), the new Commanding General of the Philippine Army, during a courtesy call at the Senate Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Año was named Commanding General of the Philippine Army on July 15, 2015. He succeeded Lt. Gen. Hernando Delfin Carmelo A. Iriberri, who was named Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Prior to his appointment as Commanding General, he commanded the Army’s 10th Infantry Division, and, before that, was Brigade Commander of the 201st Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
