Tulfo honors Tabako: The action man sa Senado, Sen. Raffy Tulfo, joins the members of the Senate in giving honors to the late former President Fidel V. Ramos as a man who has done many things for the country. “During Ramos’ presidency, he was endearingly called “tabako” for his signature cigar, giving him a distinguished and wise, yet relatable image; reminding me of a respected, experienced “Ilocano lakay.” True to the image he exuded, many aspiring leaders sought his audience for advice even after his term as president,” Tulfo said in his speech Monday, August 1, 2022.
