Hontiveros said Rita, a victim of human trafficking, was able to go home with the assistance of the Department of Foreign Affairs, her office and some non-government organizations. However, she said, other victims of human trafficking are not as fortunate as Rita and are still out of the country suffering indignities and abuses. Hontiveros said immigration officers are also involved in the trafficking of Filipinos as well as the Chinese Mafia. “This is like Pastillas Part 2, but only worse,” Hontiveros said. (Voltaire F.
