Prioritize the welfare of riding public: Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go appeals to Transportation Sec. Jaime Bautista to capitalize on the gains of the Build! Build! Build! Program of the previous administration to sustain and to complement the Build, Better, More Program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. During Tuesday’s meeting December 13, 2022, of the Commission on Appointments’ Committee on Transportation, Go expressed his full support for the confirmation of the ad interim appointment of Baustista as secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr). “The transportation sector plays a crucial role in economic development through a dependable and coordinated network of transportation system which enables safe and efficient movement of people and goods. It is vital that this post be headed by a highly experienced and technical individual like Sec. Bautista,” Go said. He also reminded Bautista to always think about the welfare and what is beneficial for the riding public, especially the underprivileged sectors of the society. In response, Bautista expressed his gratitude to Sen. Go and vowed to continue and finish the projects that the previous administration started for the commuters and the riding public.
