Zubiri hails successful APPF31: Senate President Juan Miguel "Migz" F. Zubiri thanks the members, officers, and employees of the Upper Chamber for the success of the 31st Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF31). Zubiri, chairperson of the APPF31, took the floor in the plenary Tuesday, November 28, 2023 to assess the Philippines' second hosting of the annual meeting from Nov. 23 to 26. In a resolution, the Senate chief also thanked concerned government agencies and ultimately, the Office of the President, for their support and contributions to the APPF31. "I'm happy to say that the APPF31 was a resounding success, bringing together 19 member-countries for a productive slate of plenary sessions and working groups, not to mention the drafting committee, and unanimously approving 10 resolutions on political and security matters, economic and trade matters, regional cooperation, gender and development, and women leadership," Zubiri said in his sponsorship speech.
