Honoring the former Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Hosoda Hiroyuki: Monday, 4 December 2023. The Philippine Senate presents to His Excellency, KAZUHIKO Koshikawa, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, Resolution No. 96, expressing the profound sympathy and sincere condolences of the Senate of the Philippines on the passing of HOSODA Hiroyuki, former Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan. The said Resolution pays tribute to the statesmanship of Speaker HOSODA, whom the members of the Senate had the opportunity to meet during a parliamentary visit in April 2023. The Honorable HOSODA will always be remembered, not only as veteran lawmaker, but as a remarkable bureaucrat and statesman, who dedicated 50 years as a public servant, including more than three decades of parliamentary service.
