Pia's co-sponsorship speech honoring 8th UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon: Senator Pia S. Cayetano co-sponsors a resolution honoring and commending United Nations (UN) 8th Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon for his outstanding contributions to the international community. Sen. Cayetano noted that under his leadership, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was established, which in turn inspired the creation of the Philippine Senate's Committee on SDGs, Innovation, and Futures Thinking that the lady senator now chairs. Sen. Cayetano added that as a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s Bureau of the Standing Committee on UN Affairs, she has witnessed the United Nation's pivotal role in advancing sustainable development in the parliamentarians' agenda.
