Amendments to franchise bill: Sen. Win Gatchalian introduces amendments to House Bill No. 9805 Monday, May 13, 2024. The bill seeks to ensure continuous and uninterrupted electric supply to Negros Electric and Power Corp. by granting them a franchise to establish, operate and maintain for commercial purpose and in the public interest, a distribution system for the conveyance of electric power to the end-users in the cities of Bacolod, Silay, Talisay and Bago and the municipalities of Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental.
