The Office of the Senate Secretary assists the Senate President in extending adequate and timely legislative and administrative support to the offices of Senators. It exercises supervision and control over all the offices, service units, officers and employees of the Senate Secretariat. It serves as the clearinghouse of all the activities of the Secretariat. It formulates plans, policies and programs aimed to professionalize the institution.

Created by virtue of Policy Order 2001-004, as amended, the Blue Ribbon Oversight Office Management provides technical and administrative assistance to the Committee on Accountability of Public Officers and Investigations, otherwise known as the Blue Ribbon.

Senate Economic Planning Office provides technical support to the Senate President and Members of the Senate in their task to enact relevant and timely legislation; and to review policies on social and economic development. It provides the Members of the Senate with proper research and in-depth policy analysis on economic and social issues and any such issue as may be assigned to it by Member of the Senate. it also provide the Member of the Senate data and statistics which would assist various committees in the discharge of all matters within their jurisdiction, including information with respect to: economic plans and programs, domestic and foreign indebtedness, and the promotion, regulation and diversification of sector and sub sectors.

The EDP-MIS Bureau provides support services to all the members of the Senate and the Secretariat through the generation of timely, relevant, accurate and easy to use information. It formulates, develops and implements policies on I.T. matters of the Senate. Under the Bureau are the two services namely: Systems Service and Operations Service.

As the internal audit arm of the Senate, the Bureau reviews and evaluates the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting, financial and other operating controls and recommends the most effective control system at reasonable cost. It aims to achieve a more effective, efficient and economical system of controls in the Senate. Together with the Management Planning and Operations Audit Service, it appraises operations and programs of the Senate to determine whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and are being carried out as planned. It conducts audit activities to ensure that systems comply with government policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations.

Attend to constituents of the Senators who request assistance in the form of medicines, medical care, transportation, legal assistance, job placement, referrals and the like and direct them to the appropriate government agency, and the particular official or employee who can act on their papers; coordinate with the various Senators; offices relative to the numerous requests of the public.
