Villanueva backs confirmation of AFP officer: Sen. Joel Villanueva expresses his support for the confirmation of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations Nolasco Mempin as major general during the Commission on Appointment's (CA) plenary session on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Villanueva said Nolasco, who also hails from his home province Bulacan, "truly deserves" his promotion for his achievements and service in the military of 35 years.
