CHINESE DELEGATION VISITS THE SENATE: Senate President Franklin M. Drilon receives from Hon. Bai Jimin, head of the 8-man delegation of the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFIU), a silk scroll souvenir from China during their courtesy call Monday afternoon. During the call, Drilon expressed confidence that the $30 billion two-way trade target between Manila and Beijing will be achieved before 2010. The Senate President, who visited China last month upon the invitation of the National People's Congress, also stressed that the frequent high-level visit between the Philippines and China will contribute largely to the strengthening of their age-old economic, political and cultural ties.
