COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS HEARING: Liberal Presdient Senator Mar Roxas castigates BIR officials over their insistence that sugar cooperatives must pay income taxes contrary to existing laws at a hearing of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means this morning. Roxas also pointed out that the BIR virtually stole P5,000 from almost three million minimum wage earners because of its new ruling on tax exemption privileges for wage earners.
