NENE FOR ARTISTS: The Art for Change Competition of Senator Aquilino Q Pimentel, Jr and Buhay Isang Awit Foundation, Inc was held last November 20, 2009 at the G/F, Orosa Atrium, Pedro Gil wing, Robinsons Place Manila, Ermita Manila, with the theme: “Children as fountain of joy.” Through this on-the-spot painting contest, participants can translate on their illustration boards with the use of oil pastels their sentiments and interpretation of the current political and economic issues and other concerns affecting the quality of life of the Filipino youth. The Top Three (3) Winners of this year’s contest are: (From left to right): 3rd Place Winner – Veronica Tangcueco, 12 years old, St Jude Catholic School; 2nd Place Winner – Anika Biene Padrigo, 11 years old, Philippine Tiong Se Academy; 1st Place Winner – Edward Lecaros, 9 Years Old, T Tecson Elementary School. The seven (7) minor winners (not in the photo): 4th Place Winner – Rogerto Ollado III, 12 years old; 5th Place Winner – John Robert Quinicio, 10 years old; 6th Place Winner – Kristine Joyce Sy, eight years old; 7th Place Winner – Ma Anne Lyn Lavadia, 11 years old; 8th Place Winner – Gene Mikel D Magayac, eight years old; 9th Place Winner – Jill Chloe Tolentino, 10 yrs old; and 10th Place Winner – Vanessa Tangcueco, 11 years old.
