2015 APEC ECONOMIC LEADERS’ MEETING: Senator Loren Legarda gifts Japan’s First Lady Akie Abe with the Cordillera state universities and colleges’ book on indigenous farming and forest management practices. On Thursday, Senator Legarda had a meeting with Mrs. Abe, who is in the country with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for the 2015 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Legarda said Japan and the Philippines share the same vulnerabilities to natural hazards and stressed that Filipinos can learn much from the Japanese on disaster preparedness.
