In Memoriam: Sen. Francis Pangilinan thanks Majority Leader Migz Zubiri for allowing him to be co-author and co-sponsor of Senate Bill No. 544 expressing sympathy and condolences to the family of former Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. who passed away Oct 1, 2020 at the age of 84. “I had the opportunity to visit Negros province on several occasions and I was able to know him and his passion for organic agriculture. Actually, he inspired me to go into organic agriculture myself after I stepped down as senator in 2013. He was truly a visionary. We will miss him and I hope someone will fill his shoes in the organic agriculture advocacy,” Pangilinan said during plenary session Tuesday, October 13, 2020. (Screen grab/Senate PRIB)
