Recto Thanks DPWH: Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto takes the opportunity to thank Public Works Sec. Mark Villar for the support provided by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to the province of Batangas during the Taal volcano eruption and the Covid-19 pandemic. “Let me take this opportunity to thank the secretary for being there from day one of the Taal eruption and for all the quarantine facilities that you have done in the last 30 days not only in Lipa City but in all the districts,” Recto said during the virtual hearing of the Finance Subcommittee A Wednesday, October 14, 2020 on the proposed budget of the DPWH. The senator also asked if the DPWH could provide some funding for the towns in Batangas that were badly hit by the eruption of Taal Volcano last January namely, Agoncillo, San Nicolas, Lemery, Talisay and Laurel.
