Recto on Batangas State University Charter Bill: Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto expresses his appreciation to the Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education chaired by Sen. Joel Villanueva for prioritizing Senate Bill No. (SBN) 2111 or the Batangas State University (BSU) Charter. SBN 2111 seeks to strengthen the university by declaring it as the national engineering university. Recto, during the hybrid committee hearing Monday, September 13, 2021, also commended BSU President Tirso Ronquillo for his outstanding leadership, performance and vision for the institution to be the premier national engineering university in the country. “Let me take this opportunity to thank our President Dr. Ronquillo for your presence today and for helping us craft this measure and for the valuable leadership,” Recto said.
