CA Defense Committee endorses AFP COS Faustino: Sen. Panfilo Lacson, during the hybrid meeting of the Committee on National Defense of the Commission on Appointments (CA) Wednesday, September 15, 2021, asks Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Jose Faustino Jr. about the command responsibility of a commandant officer where the plebe and an upperclassman are involved in the hazing. Faustino said that what they are looking at is the action of the officer right after the incident happened. The committee endorsed the nomination of Faustino and five other generals, including the ad interim appointments of 35 senior officers of the AFP, for confirmation by the CA.
