Zubiri defends conversion of agri land to build airport: Majority Leader Juan Miguel “Migz” F. Zubiri, during Monday’s hybrid plenary session, November 15, 2021, defends the acquisition of agricultural land from agrarian reform beneficiaries for the construction of Bukidnon airport. Zubiri said the local government facilitated the purchase of the land after its prescription period of 10 years and that houses were built for farmer-beneficiaries. “I would like to thank the Department of Agrarian Reform for being with us in every step of the way. They helped us with the negotiations with the farmers, because it would bring in more income in terms of tourism, in terms of development.
