Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act ratification: Sen. Win Gatchalian moves to ratify the Bicameral Conference Committee report on the disagreeing provisions of the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act during the hybrid plenary session Thursday, December 16, 2021. Gatchalian reported that the two Houses of Congress managed to find a common ground on the two most contentious provisions – the installation of charging stations in dedicated parking slots and the installation of charging stations in dedicated spaces in gas stations. He thanked the co-authors of the bill – Senator President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto, Senate Majority Floor Leader Juan Miguel "Migz" F. Zubiri, Senators Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, Grace Poe, Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Joel Villanueva, Pia Cayetano, and Senate President Vicente Sotto III as well as his fellow conferees – Pimentel, Zubiri, Pacquiao, and Pangilinan.
