Solid Waste Management of the Philippines Conference: Villar cites for her accomplishments on waste management. The Solid Waste Management of the Philippines (SWMP) gave Sen. Cynthia A. Villar a Plaque of Appreciation for her initiatives and campaign to reduce if not totally eradicate wastes. As chairperson of the Senate committee on environment and natural resources, the senator has been initiating programs and crafting laws on waste management. The recognition was given to Villar during the Solid Waste Management of the Philippines Conference 2022 (SWAPPCon 2022) with the theme "Disaster Waste Management," organized by the Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines Inc. held at Zuri Hotel in Iloilo City last November 17.
