Senate Majority Leader and Independent Senator Kiko Pangilinan today encouraged former and current students of the University of the Philippines to contribute to the sanctuary fund established to support whistleblowers of anomalies in the government.

"Alam kong hindi kahit kailan maapula ang alab ng pagiging makabayan ng mga iskolar ng bayan. Let us help in building up the Sanctuary Fund for those who want to testify against irregularities in the government like Mr. Jun Lozada" Kiko said.

A group of U.P. alumni has already turned over almost P90, 000.00 to the Association of Major Religious Superiors of the Philippines (AMRSP), the administrator of the sanctuary fund.

"Any amount will do. The important thing is that we are not apathetic with what is going on in our country. Kailangan nating makialam." Kiko appealed.
