Senator Juan Edgardo "Sonny" Angara today joined primetime TV star Coco Martin in a back-to-school gift-giving project organized by the superhero drama series "Juan Dela Cruz."

Angara, together with Coco and other cast of "Juan Dela Cruz," donated bags, school supplies and snacks to 279 students of R. Camus Integrated School in Malabon City.

"Sana pagbutihin niyo ang inyong pag-aaral dahil edukasyon ang makakatulong sa inyong kinabukasan," the neophyte senator reminded the young students.

Angara said he is delighted to be a part of the "Juan Fun School Day" and that he would continue supporting this kind of project led by Coco, who endorsed his candidacy in the recent polls.

Coco, who shares the same advocacy for education with Angara, said the gift-giving project is a way of thanking the viewers for their continued support for his show.

"Sana maging magandang halimbawa kami sa kabataan at sana marami kayong matutunang aral sa Juan Dela Cruz," the actor told the kids.
