Statement of Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan on President Duterte's assurance to account all COVID-19 pandemic response funds; challenge to the Congress to put safety nets

Kapag tinanggal si Duque, dun lang ako maniniwala na seryoso sya sa pagtugon sa Php 15 billion na ninakaw na pera ng bayan sa PhilHealth. At habang nandyan si Duque, mahirap maniwala na seryoso ang Pangulo sa pagsugpo sa kurakot.

Parang yung sinabi nya na 3 to 6 months tatapusin nya ang problema ng ilegal na droga at corruption, o kaya yung pangakong sasakay siya ng Jet Ski sa West Philippine Sea. Hindi totoo. Hindi dapat pinaniwalaan.

The Senate has been doing its job as an oversight function by exposing the overpriced testing machines, testing kits and PPEs, and investigating the massive corruption in PhilHealth.

What we are waiting for is for the President to do his job by firing Duque and filing charges against those involved in the Php 15 billion PhilHealth mess, the overpriced PPEs, and testing machines and kits.
