MIRIAM AT PGH TODAY: Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago was the guest of honor at the Service Awards ceremony for employees of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) today, August 20, 2009. Santiago turned over to the PGH the P10 million-worth medical machine she donated from her Priority Development Assistance Fund. She donated a computerized cardiac monitoring system.

In 2005, she launched her “one senator, one PGH machine” personal campaign to solicit pledges from other senators to donate to the PGH.
