7TH IT YOUTH CONGRESS: Senator Richard J. Gordon urges thousands of IT students, professionals and enthusiasts during the 7th IT Youth Congress held at the University of the Philippines (UP) Theatre in Diliman, Quezon City to excel in the field as he stresses that IT enables and ennobles the people. As co-sponsor of the bill creating the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Gordon maintains that ICT would help in the development of the country as it ensures immediacy of action and response to events, and assures global competitiveness.
