ENRILE ATTENDS COOPERATIVE WORKSHOP: Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile was the guest of honor at the 1st Asian Cooperative TEAMshop held at the Cebu International Convention Center, Mandaue City , Cebu last November 18, where he gave a speech to members of the National Cooperative Development Council and the Cooperative Development Authority. Enrile acknowledged the contribution of cooperatives to the economic and cultural development of local communities. He also reminded everyone that the cooperatives’ potential to resolve social and political issues have been recognized and reaffirmed by no less than the United Nations, which called for the annual observance of the International Day of Cooperatives starting in July 1995.
