THE CASE OF A KASAMBAHAY: Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada is seen here with Bonita Baran, a domestic worker who accused her female employer with physical abuse and illegal detention. Baran alleged that her employer pressed a hot flat iron on her face, stabbed her with a pair of scissors and repeatedly beat her with various objects. Baran showed up before the National Bureau of Investigation with her sister Olivia, mother Erlinda and Public Attorney’s Office Chief Atty. Persida Acosta, as her former employers also appeared before the authorities. The couple deny the accusation. Senate Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development is set to conduct a hearing on Wednesday on the case.
