VILLAR HEARS DA BUDGET: Sen. Cynthia Villar, vice chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, presided over the Finance Subcommittee hearing on the proposed P50.5 billion budget of the Department of Agriculture. Villar commended DA Sec. Emmanuel Piñol for coming up with a budget that has more appropriation for projects rather than administrative expenses. During the hearing, the senators agreed to approve a budget that will provide farmers free irrigation services.
