2021 DPWH Budget: The Finance Subcommittee A chaired by Sen. Sonny Angara takes up during the virtual hearing Wednesday, October 14, 2020, the proposed P667.32 billion budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and its attached corporations for 2021. The budget, which is 15 percent higher as compared to the agency’s P581.7 billion 2020 budget, is focused on three major outcomes aimed at achieving a sustainable and inclusive development such as reduction of travel time by increasing road network capacity, improving road quality and safety by providing engineering solutions to road safety concerns, and protecting the lives and properties from natural disasters by building disaster-resilient structures in calamity-prone areas.
