Defending the 2021 DSWD Budget: Sen. Imee Marcos, during the hybrid plenary session Tuesday, November 17, 2020, successfully defended the proposed 2021 budget of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) amounting to P169.29 billion, which is 4.45 percent higher than this year’s budget of P162.09 billion. Aside from the DSWD budget, also deemed submitted were the budgets of the Civil Service Commission, the Career Executive Service Board, Council for the Welfare of Children, Inter-Country Adoption Board, Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council, National Anti-Poverty Commission, National Commission of Indigenous Peoples, National Council on Disability Affairs and the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor.
