Villanueva leads hearing on creation of department of OFWs: Sen. Joel Villanueva presides over the hybrid hearing of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development, Monday, December 7, 2020 on various bills proposing the creation of a dedicated department for overseas Filipino workers. Villanueva admitted that the challenge for the proposal is much greater now with the pandemic and the reservation of some of his colleagues in the Senate. “As chair of the committee, our position remains the same.
