Pimentel seeks clarification on PSC budget: Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III seeks clarification on the 5 percent budget share the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is supposed to remit to the Philippine Sports Commission. “It has been repeatedly mentioned that PSC would be able to survive with the GAA allocation (P375.238 million) if PAGCOR will comply to the letter with their remittance or share of the PSC under the law. So, either they accept the interpretation of the PAGCOR on how the 5 percent is computed or question that interpretation. Was there a legal opinion issued by the executive branch? This should be a guide for the agencies before they began filing suits against each other,” Pimentel said during the hybrid marathon session Monday, November 15, 2021.
