Bicam report on Creative Industries of the Philippines: Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III reports the harmonized version of the disagreeing provisions of Senate Bill No. 2455 and House Bill No. 10107 contained in the bicameral conference committee report on the Creative Industries Charter of the Philippines. During plenary session Monday, May 30, 2022, Pimentel said the bill aims to create opportunities and employment as well as to nurture human resources, ensuring financial enabling mechanisms and providing incentives to encourage and sustain Filipino excellence in the creative industries. Pimentel said the committee members have agreed to adopt the House version as the working draft as both bills have many common provisions. He said the committee report introduced new provisions that were found in the House bill which, they believed, were beneficial to the creative industries and which improved the measure.
