Proud product of ROTC: Sen. Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito expresses his belief that the proposal to bring back the mandatory Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) would help instill discipline and patriotism among students. Ejercito, during the hearing of the Higher, Technical and Vocational Education Subcommittee Tuesday, November 29, 2022, said although there was a way for him to get exempted from the ROTC when he was a student, he chose to undergo the 2-year military training and he valued the experience. “I am one of those who filed this bill (ROTC Act) because I’m proud to say that I’m a product of the ROTC.
