Honest-to-goodness environmental impact study: Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III expresses concerns regarding the commitment of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) officials to conduct thorough environmental impact studies for the reclamation projects in Manila Bay. During the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change public hearing Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Pimentel pointed out two overlapping reclamation projects in Manila Bay that may also share environmental impacts. “Has the issuance of Environmental Compliance Certificates (ECCs) been overlooked?
