Amendments to Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act: Sen. Cynthia Villar, sponsor of Senate Bill No. 2432 or the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, takes the floor Wednesday, December 6, 2023, to accept amendments to the bill. The measure seeks to repeal Republic Act No. 10845, otherwise known as the Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016, and introduce severe sanctions against smugglers, profiteers, hoarders and cartel of agricultural and fishery products.
