DRAFT PETITION: Liberal President Senator Mar Roxas shows mediamen a draft petition he will be filing at the Supreme Court together with the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines, the country’s largest union federation, compelling the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Department of Finance to exempt minimum wage earners from income taxes for the entire 2008. Roxas and the labor group opposed the executive’s “half-baked” exemption starting only in July 2008, which will result in P5,000 lost for each minimum wage earners.
