LABOR CONCERNS: Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada, Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development, engages in a brief talk with Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz during the plenary session on Monday. On the same day, August 6, the Upper Chamber approved on Third and Final Reading Senate Resolution 816 concurring in the ratification of ILO Convention 189 concerning Decent Work for Domestic Workers. Also, the Senate approved on Second Reading Resolution 829 concurring in the ratification of Maritime Labour Convention. Both measures were co-sponsored by Sen. Estrada.
