CREATION OF THE AMUSEMENT PARKS SAFETY BOARD: Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, and Senator Koko Pimentel, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Games and Amusement, question officials of the Bureau of Fire Protection, Local Government Development and the Department of Tourism on the safety standards and regulations being implemented by their departments on amusement park rides all over the country. Also discussed during a Senate hearing was the proposed creation of the Amusement Parks Safety Board, which will be tasked to monitor and ensure the safety of carnival rides.
